Hello and welcome to our website.

My wife Judy and I are very glad that you are visiting with us by way of our website and pray that you will come and worship with us this Sunday or Wednesday.  I have been Pastor of Eastview Baptist Church since March of 2014 and have been in the full-time gospel ministry for approximately 33 years.

I married my High School sweetheart, who is originally from Seneca, SC., and we have been happily married 40 years!  Judy and I have been blessed with one daughter Joy Harrison and Son-in-law Mark.  And of course we have the most special grand children Hampton Richard (age 9) who is all sports especially baseball and Hallee Anne who is 100% little girl (age 6).

I am originally from the northern Virginia area of Alexandria and Arlington.  I confess I am a Washington Redskin fan win or lose.  Always have been and always will be.  Prior to my calling into the ministry I was in business employed for a time at Piedmont Airlines (Washington National Airport) and in the Automobile Business achieving the position of Sales Manager at Pallone Chevrolet in Springfield, Virginia.   Hobbies…I enjoy playing golf when I can and working around the house and in the yard and most important being with my grandkids and family as much as possible.

I received an audible call from the Lord to enter into full-time Ministry on May 25, 1978 at 1:04AM.  A very important date in my life that changed me forever.  I love the Lord and I do not consider what I do to be a job.  It is truly a calling that I love from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet.  It is pure joy to serve my Lord and to pastor Eastview Baptist Church.

Following my calling Judy and I moved to Anderson, SC. to pursue my education for the ministry.  I earned an Associate’s Degree from Anderson College with a major in Religion, Bachelor’s Degree from Furman University with a major in Religion.  I completed about half of my seminary study at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary working towards a Master of Divinity Degree.  I transferred to Erskine Theological Seminary changing my major area of study and earned a Master’s Degree in Christian Education.

I have served as a staff pastor in several areas at Concord Baptist Church in Anderson, SC.  I have served as Pastor of Nine Forks Baptist Church in Dacusville, SC., Bethel Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. and now blessed to pastor Eastview Baptist Church here in Belton, SC.

Buddy was born in Charleston, SC and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior when he was eight years old.  He had the privilege of being raised by two Godly parents.  Buddymet my wife, Caroline, while they both were attending the College of Charleston, and they were married soon after graduation.  I then taught middle and high school band in Charleston County.  During this time, he served three churches as their interim Minister of Music.  Believing the Lord was leading Caroline and him into full-time ministry, he quit teaching school after nearly six years and attended The New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  Anticipating majoring in Music Ministry, the Lord changed his direction to Student Ministry, and he spent the majority of his 17 years in full-time ministry as a Youth Minister.  Presently, Buddy works full-time at the Department of Social Services and is overjoyed that the Lord has enabled him to serve Eastview Baptist Church as their Minister of Music.

I had very godly parents that always made sure the entire family was in church.  I appreciate their guidance as a young child. I loved "church" music and was always banging on a piano. I was saved at the age of 9. Shortly after that, I started piano lessons and was playing at age 16 in church. A few years later I was playing the organ. My mother made the statement she prayed I would really be devoted to it (maybe 50 years). Well she got her wish; I am entering the 54th year of playing.

I am also in my 28th year as a church Ministry Assistant and would not take anything for the experiences I have had working in God's House. God has been in my life through all this and He has always been there guiding me right along. God is Good!

I truly love Eastview Baptist Church and all the members. They are so loving and caring and I feel blessed to be at Eastview.    Isaiah 40:11
